Sky Betting & Gaming Launches First Recruitment Chat Bot
Sky Sports presenter, Jeff Stelling, has become the face of a new virtual recruitment ChatBot launched today by online operator Sky Betting & Gaming. The company is the first to use an AI ChatBot for candidate engagement to enhance and support the recruitment experience.
‘Ask Jeff’ on Facebook is able to pose and respond to questions with the use of interactive buttons in chat on the company culture, an applicant’s status, business locations, benefits and social opportunities.
It is the first ever AI recruitment ChatBot to be introduced in the betting and gaming industry and uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to give applicants 24/7 access to the recruitment process. It offers a responsive and interactive experience from the moment an application starts, right through to someone’s first day with the company.

Whilst the tool is fun and engaging for candidates, the recruitment team are also freed up to spend more time supporting and advising recruits at the later stages of a hire, rather than simply fielding more straightforward closed questions.
As it is a newly developed and bespoke piece of technology, the AskJeff Chat Bot will evolve over time as more people use it.
