TSA takes to Facebook Messenger to answer fliers' questions
Wondering what hours the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck lanes are staffed at your local airport? Or whether you can bring an obscure item through airport security?
You can now get the answers to those questions and many more by asking the TSA directly through Facebook’s Messenger function.
TSA began taking questions and feedback via Facebook on Thursday at 8 a.m. ET, a move makes it the first federal agency to roll out a customer-service platform on the social media giant.
TSA touts the move as something that will give fliers more ways to interact with the agency. It also follows last year's launch of the @AskTSA customer service account on Twitter. Read full story.
